This game represents one year in the life of a patient and how their health status is not only affected by their social determinants of health but also by what happens to them throughout the game. The purpose is not to necessarily reach the end but to learn what happens along the way and how both our demographic situation and the scenarios that occur in our life affect our health outcomes. Sophisticated concept, but don’t fear it’s a simple execution as it is similar to Candy Land in how it’s played. The goal of this game is to broaden players’ understanding of the CHAS patient experiences and the many factors inside and outside of the clinic that can lead to better or worse health, as well as to foster productive discussions about these effects.
